Logan City criminal docket, 1883-1892.

Record of the court cases of the Logan, Utah, criminal court from Feb. 12, 1883 to Feb. 23, 1892. Includes cases of drunkenness, disturbing the peace, and assault and battery (these three were the most common), petty larceny, selling liquor on Sundays, operating business without the proper licenses, and trespassing. The Justices of the Peace keeping the record were J.E. Stewart (1883-1888), A.G. Barber (1888-1890), and Edward W. Smith (1890-1892). Smith, although serving for only two years, wrote over half the cases in the docket.
